The La Mirada Chamber of Commerce will continue its speaker series, November 4th at 8:00 AM at 12Sixty Modern Pub & Kitchen in La Mirada located at 14299 Firestone Blvd, La Mirada, CA 90638.

We are pleased to welcome Rick Rodriguez as our guest speaker.

Rick Rodriguez was the second youngest of six children raised in Southern California, Rick learned early that hard work and perseverance could make almost anything possible. Elected in 2016 and serving as Mayor of Downey in 2018, he has demonstrated a consistent commitment to leadership and community advancement. Rick is the founder of RMI International Inc., a global private security firm operating in 18 states and three countries. Since establishing the company in 1996, he has drawn upon extensive experience in private and public security operations worldwide to build a respected organization known for professionalism and integrity.

Rick’s record of civic engagement reflects his dedication to service beyond business. He has served as past president of the Downey Chamber of Commerce and Gangs Out of Downey, and is the founder of several community initiatives including the Downey Care Collaborative, Downey Clergy Council, and the Downey Center for Military Integration. Currently the President-Elect of the Downey Kiwanis Club, Rick also holds board positions with The Whole Child, the Downey Chamber of Commerce, and the U.S. Army Los Angeles Recruitment Battalion. In addition, he serves as a chaplain with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and founded the Living Tree Foundation, which provides vital support to returning combat veterans and their families. As a father of seven and grandfather of twelve, Rick brings experience, compassion, and principled leadership—qualities that define his enduring value to both business and community.
