16 May Noel Jaimes Resigns After Years of Dedicated Service
It is with deep regret that the La Mirada Chamber of Commerce accepted the resignation of Noel Jaimes, Executive Director of the Chamber on Friday, May 12.
Jaimes brought great insight and leadership to the Chamber with business-driven strategic planning over the past few years. He set goals for the Chamber which we have reached and even exceeded. The Chamber formed a new alliance with the Crowell School of Business at Biola University, doubled its membership, and began numerous new projects to propel the Chamber forward in the La Mirada Community.
Over the past two years, the La Mirada Chamber assembled a dedicated team to meet the needs of the organization and to deliver support to our membership. Jaimes was an integral part of this growth.
He has been a La Mirada Resident since attending Biola University in the 1970s. He served as a summer intern for Congressman Grisham and began serving the community after graduating from college. Jaimes served the City of La Mirada as a commissioner of Parks and Recreation, Human Services, the Gang Task Force Commission as well as the Hospital Auxiliary Service program.
Stepping up as Executive Director for the Chamber of Commerce in 2019 came with challenges; the vision for a virtual Chamber was to bring back value to businesses in our community. Our city was hit with the limitations of CoVID-19 shortly thereafter. Jaimes plan for a Virtual Chamber was a huge success and the organization was able to give direction and information to the businesses and the community in a timely manner.
Jaimes had vision for the Chamber to be a thriving partner within the La Mirada Community and we are moving forward with that goal. Noel, thank you for your dedicated service.
