29 Jan Greg Stump Guest Speaker at Chamber Breakfast

The La Mirada Chamber continues its speaker series on February 6th at 8:00 AM at 12 Sixty Modern Pub & Kitchen in La Mirada located at 14299 Firestone Blvd, La Mirada, CA 90638.

Our special speaker for February is Greg Stump of Love La Mirada. Greg will be announcing some exciting community projects they will be initiating over the next couple of years.

Love La Mirada is a community service organization that began in 2016 as a collaboration between La Mirada churches, city staff, local businesspeople, and their volunteer organizations that brought the community together annually for a city-wide Day of Service, where 400-500 people residents of La Mirada served together, working on 30-40 projects in parks, schools, churches, senior communities, and the homes of neighbors who needed assistance. Over the years, LLM has extended into other projects, like bringing groceries to individuals and families in need during the pandemic; offering gift cards for the La Mirada Theater or Splash! to families who may not have funds for these outings; honoring our city’s First Responders with a dinner of various local restaurants; and celebrating “Neighborhood Heroes” with awards and gift certificates to local eateries.

Greg Stump is one of the original founders of Love La Mirada and is the current president of the board.  He has lived in La Mirada since 2003 and now resides in the North Park neighborhood with his wife, Michele (who works as a speech specialist at Gardenhill Elementary), and his three children.  Greg was formerly on staff at Biola University and has been a pastor at Redeemer Church (on Cordova Rd & Imperial Hwy) since 2012.  His favorite La Mirada eateries can all be found on Firestone Blvd:  Chick-fil-A, In-n-Out, and North Woods Inn.
