On September 16th, candidates for NLMUSD School Board participated in a forum open to the public sponsored by the La Mirada Chamber of Commerce. The well-attended candidate’s forum at the La Mirada Activity Center had over sixty in attendance and another 400+ online watching the live feed provided by La Mirada Blog. Candidates did a great job at answering some tough and difficult questions and we are thankful for their sincerity and forth rightfulness. Approximately 17 audience members participated in asking questions directly to the candidates.

Board incumbents Norma Amezcua, Narcis Brasov, Rob Cancio, and Jorge Tirado are being challenged by Casey Chattle, Becky Langenwalter, Rudy Miranda, and Lorena Vidaurre. The eight candidates will be competing for four school board openings this November.
