27 Jul New Captain of Norwalk Sheriff’s Station Chris Johnson at Chamber Breakfast
The La Mirada Chamber continued its speaker series on August 2nd at 8:00 AM at 12 Sixty Modern Pub & Kitchen in La Mirada located at 14299 Firestone Blvd, La Mirada, CA 90638.
The Chamber was honored to have as our speaker the new Captain of Norwalk Sheriff’s Station Chris Johnson.
Captain Chris Johnson has been selected as the New Captain of Norwalk Sheriff’s Station. The Station was established in 1926 and provides law enforcement services for the cities of Norwalk, La Mirada, and the unincorporated communities of South and East Whittier. Johnson will oversee approximately 236 sworn and civilian personnel and serve a population of roughly 220,000 residents.
Johnson is a 27-year law enforcement veteran of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. In 1998 he was assigned to Lennox Station before moving to the Transit Services Bureau. In 2001, Johnson transferred to Compton Station where he held several positions including patrol Deputy, Special Assignment Officer, Field Training Officer and Detective.
In 2013 he was promoted to Lieutenant and transferred to Century Station in Lynwood, where he worked as s Patrol Watch Commander and Service Area Lieutenant for the unincorporated communities. In 2016, Johnson was transferred to marina del Rey Station as an Operations Lieutenant and worked as Acting Captain before officially promoting to Captain of the station in 2021.
