23 May Chamber launches Shop La Mirada business directory

The La Mirada Chamber of Commerce continues to expand its “Virtual Chamber” website which was created last year to serve the business community in the city of La Mirada. This week the Chamber, in partnership with Discover La Mirada, launches its newest initiative called “Shop La Mirada” to support local businesses within the community. Shop La Mirada is a business directory that will connect local businesses to community residents. Residents can search the directory to support local businesses by visiting the La Mirada Chamber website (lamiradachamber.com) or by going directly to the Shop La Mirada website (shoplamirada.com). The directory will allow local businesses, starting with restaurants, to claim their free listing on the website and actively promote their business to the La Mirada community. Once claimed, businesses can update their listing information whenever they want.

“Shop La Mirada will help all businesses, whether Chamber members or not, regain their market branding here in the city…” said Executive Dir., Noel Jaimes. “ La Mirada residents want to support our local businesses, but we lack one central hub where residents can get information about restaurants, grocery stores, retail, pharmacies, dry cleaners, donut shops…and more…” said Mr. Jaimes.

The Chamber appreciates its close working relationship with Elite Chamber Champion members, Discover La Mirada and City of La Mirada, to make this initiative a reality.

The new Shop La Mirada website is launching with sections for “Food & Drinks” and “Grocery & Pharmacy.” In the following weeks, the Chamber will include additional business categories such as dry cleaners, barbershops, salons, clinics, dentists, retail shops, automotive, etc.
